We, C L Gupta Exports Ltd, have more than 110 years of experience in producing metal houseware, and about 55 years in exporting. We have offices in San Francisco, California, that has four resident designers. Targeting the low to high-end markets, the company offers trays, coasters, bowls, condiment sets and barware pieces. All output is sent overseas, with 75 percent of shipments going to North America. Buyers in the EU account for the remaining 25 percent. Our major clients are Pottery Barn, Ikea, Target, Wal-Mart and Crate & Barrel. CL Gupta is also among Ikea list of approved international suppliers.In 2008, total sales reached $44 million, with tableware representing 20 percent at $9 million.

Our R&D team is composed of six designers and four draftsmen. Sampling takes two to three weeks.Occupying more than 100,000sqm, the Moradabad factory in Uttar Pradesh houses the head office, showroom and workshops for material processing and box making. We have our own casting and finishing machines. There are 1,850 full-time and 220 part-time employees. All items pass through three levels of QC. About 100 workers are responsible for checking models after each manufacturing phase, with another 25 conducting inspections during assembly and packing. Before shipping, all products are examined again by an independent QA team that reports directly to the company management.

The monthly capacity is 50,000 pieces, while average output is 20,000 for metal tableware and 5,000 for glass models. Standard packaging materials are polybag and carton, with other options available on request.
