I selected this china for our wedding registry and we were lucky enough to get 6 place settings, 2 salad plates and the salt and pepper shakers. The salad plates (not shown and not a part of the 5 place setting) were the reason I chose the china. The setting without the salad plate is pretty, but a little plain (there is a raised pattern on the platinum band), but the salad plate makes for an elegant table. The downside is the salad plates are $48 each. The china is lovely and looks great with the Mikasa Jamestown silver crystal.
