Love these bowls…bought them for myself and liked them so much that within two weeks, I’d ordered two more sets as gifts for friends. Comfortable to use, easy to see the measurements, and colorful to brighten up the kitchen. They clearly ARE measuring/”working” bowls, though. I would not think to use them for anything which would require microwaving nor would I put them into the dishwasher. They do the job they are intended for. A nice product.

One thing that stood out to me when I opened these up from the Amazon box is that the outside is textured. I find this very useful and am surprised other people haven’t mentioned it. When my hands are wet, as they often are while cooking, the textured outer surface keeps the bowls from slipping around. I have a set of Oxo melamine mixing bowls which are smooth and I have to dry my hands before picking them up due to being very slippery when wet. The textured surface on the prep bowls is a huge plus!
The wrapping says that they are dishwasher safe but it has no mention about microwave. I try to avoid heating food in plastic so that is not a downer for me, but other people might want to know that. So dishwasher yes, microwave no.
I am using these primarily as prep bowls, and the measurement lines are an added convenience. I thought the smallest size wouldn’t get used much at all but it turns out I use it quite often for spices and other low volume ingredients. These bowls are great for things like Asian dishes as people have said, but for me they really are especially useful for risotto. Once you start stirring you need everything at the ready and there are enough bowls in 1 set to keep you going from start to finish. I could definitely see 2 sets being useful for elaborate dishes, especially if the 2nd set is in a different color.
The bowls do not sit flush when stacked into each other for storage, unlike in the picture. There is foam to keep everything looking nice and level in the packaging. This is not a big deal for me as they will sit in a drawer but my mom always wrinkles her nose when things don’t line up perfectly so I figured it was worth a mention.
There is no pour spout on the bowls either, but I have found that a non-issue since the lip is rolled and liquids do not run down the side when adding little amounts at a time. (another insightful feature!)
All in all, I would definitely buy these again and would also give these as an informal gift to a fellow kitchen nut.

I also do a lot of Asian cooking, and I too have two sets of these bowls. I also use them constantly for serving little snacks, because a little food served in a little bowl is more likely to satisfy my kids than a little food served in a giant bowl. These are really versatile, and I use them all day long.

I bought two sets of these bowls because we do a lot of Asian cooking in our wok. This necessitates that we pre-measure EVERYTHING. This is a nice bowl set. Each bowl has 2 measurement capacities, so it saves space. They are made of a hard plastic that feels like melamine. They are quite durable and are dishwasher safe.

I love these bowls!!!! I’m on weight watchers, so the measurements inside the bowls are perfect for me! When I first unpacked the bowls, I was a little freaked out by their outer texture. It’s too smooth and grainy at the same time. I have issues with touching dry things (flour, dust, chalk, etc.) and these bowls have a kinda terra cotta feeling to the outside that I hated! I was afraid I wouldn’t be able to stand touching them while I was cooking, but I’ve discovered that it doesn’t bother me. Often when I’m cooking my hands are kind of wet which helps dispel that ‘dry’ feeling I hate, and I also have found it’s easy to pick them up by the rim. Anyone who has issues like I do with dryness may want to skip them, but you don’t have to- I’m proof that the convenience can make up for the ‘ick’.
