I had been shopping around for these dishes for quite a while, but never saw a price as low as the one offered by Amazon! The dishes arrived in less than a week, beautifully packed with lots of air bubbles and paper, every piece was in perfect condition!! I also ordered the large platter, which also arrived intact and as pictured.

They are pretty and they are very inexpensive…but they do chip. I read all the reviews before buying these and decided people were getting chips because they must be leaving them to soak in the sink. I’ve been careful not to ever soak these or leave in the sink (I always at least rinse them off and put back on the counter, even if they don’t get to the dishwasher until later). I have about 5-6 that have chipped….good nickel size chips…and I’ve had the set for 9 months. I’m glad that I bought the set of 12 so I can eventually throw out the chipped ones. However, I won’t buy these again….dinnerware should last at least a decade, especially when they are treated with care.

I bought these less than 6 months ago and, despite being very careful with them, many of thepieces are chipped. They’re very pretty (which is the only reason I gave 2 stars) but the quality is terrible. I had my last dinnerware for 10 years and hardly any were chipped. I expected these to last at least half that long. I’ll be looking to replace them as soon as possible, since it is embarassing to serve meals on chipped dinnerware. Look for something better, even if you have to spend a little more. It’s worth it!

First, let me say that I like these dishes and have received many compliments on them in the 4 months that I have had them. They do get VERY hot in the microwave. They also chip very easily! I had my previous set of dishes (a Mikasa set) for 13 years and had maybe 3 chips on the whole set. I have had this set for 4 months, and already have about a total of 8 chips. We treat them the same. In most cases, it is just a fleck of glaze that is gone, but since the edge is dark brown, it really shows up as a spot of white. I called Pfaltzgraff and asked if they had a brown porcelain touch up paint, but they don’t. I am looking on the web for a small bottle of touch up paint, which should work.
So, all in all, they are pretty dishes, but I wouldn’t buy them again due to the chipping issue.

I love this pattern and the overall look of these dishes. I bought them about 3 months ago and the only problem with them is that they get BOILING HOT in the microwave! You cannot even touch them if they have been in there for more than 1 minute. I literally have to get my potholders out to touch them. I wish I would’ve known that before I bought them because as a Mom of 2 young children we microwave a lot. They are “microwave safe” but certainly heat up more than the item you are trying to heat. Just thought I’d give my 2 cents worth since no review I read prior to buying them stated how hot they get.
